"I heard Ali son of Abu Talib - may Allah be pleased With him - appealing to the people as he said: "I beseech for God's sake a muslim who has heard the Messenger of Allah - peace and salutation of Allah be upon him - announce on the day of Ghadir Khum what he announced [to attest the fact]."

The narrator says: "Thus twelve people, who were among the participants in the battle of Badr, stood-up and bore witness".
