Muhammad bin Ja'far narrated to us, that Shu'ba related to them from Abi Ishaaq, that the latter said: "I heard Sa'id bin Wahab saying: 'Ali appealed to the people [to attest his appointment by the prophet as His successor]. Hence five or six companions of the prophet – peace and salutation of Allah be upon him – stood up and bore witness that the Messenger of Allah - peace and salutation of Allah be upon him - said: "Of whomsoever I am the master, then Ali is his master."'
