QUESTION:

With the month of Ramadhan approaching, I would like to ask a
question concerning the Fitra that we are required to pay..
I have been told recently that this fitra is also to be paid
on any pets we have at home (cats, fish, birds, etc..)  -  Is
there any truth to this??
If this is true, then how would one calculate the amount to be
paid??

There is no Fitra to be paid for pets.
