Imam Ali b. Abi Talib

ʿAlī ibn Abī Ṭālib (Arabic: عَلِيّ بْن أَبِي طَالِب; c. 600 – 661 CE) was the last Caliph of the Rashidun Caliphate, the successor state to the Islamic prophet Muhammad's political dominions. He is considered by Shia Muslims to be the first Imam, the rightful religious and political successor to Muhammad.

The fact that Ali is the best of human beings (Khairul Bashar) means the best of all human beings after the Prophet Muhammad (SAWA) and it never means that Ali is better than the Prophet Muhammad at all. This Hadeeth has been narrated many well known Sunni books like:

1. Musnad Ahmed Bin Hanbal, Fadha;I'll al-Sahabah, Hadeeth number 917 and 1110 and 177.
2. Mussannaf Ibn Abi Shaibah مُصَنَّف ابن أبي شيبة  number 31503.

3. Kanzul Ummal, V.11, page 625.

4. Ibn Asaakir in Tareekh Dimishq , V. 24, page 372.

5. Al-Qandoozi Al-Hanafi in Yanaabee'ul Mawaddah , V.2, page 78.

Ali (AS) is the best of the Ummah of the Proohet Muhammad (SAWA).

This is an authentic quote from Ameerul Mo'mineen Ali (AS) narrated from him in both Sunni and Shia books e.g. al-Kaafi 1:64

, Biharul  Anwaar, V.89, Page 99,

The well known Sunni book : Shawahid al-Tanzeel by Al-Hasakaani 1:43

The statement confirms the full knowledge of Ameerul Mo'mineen Ali (AS) about every verse in Quran.

It is untrue. Imam Ali (AS) never gave any of his sons the  name of Umar Ibn Khattab.

We have narrations that one of his sons was called Amr عمرو not Umar عمر . Amr عمرو  is a different name.

Imam Ali (AS) and his sons never took part in any army or battle under the leadership of the wrongdoers. The narrations claiming that are fabricated and never narrated by any authentic narrator. Ibn Khaldoun claimed that in after over eight hundred years after Imam Ali's martyrdom with out mentioning any chain of narrators, that is why scholars do not take such claims as authentic at all. Such fabricated narrations aims to show that Imam Ali (AS) and his sons approved the leadership of the Saqeefa rulers, which is a false claim.

Imam Ali (AS) did not use his authority as head of the state to retain any of his or his family rights.  He said that Fatima (AS) and her opponents who took away her Fadak have gone to the hereafter and Allah Will Judge between them.

Imam Ali (AS) was focusing on reserving the rights of Muslims in general and on his or his family rights which were taken away.

There is big misunderstanding in your quoting of the Hadeeth in Salih Muslim. The Hadeeth is narrated from Malik ibn Aws مالك بن أوس from Omar ibn Al-Khattab that Omar told Abdullah Ibn Abbas that you and your cousin Ali Ibn Abi Talib looked at Abu Bakr and at me as liars, sinners, covenant-breaker and traitor. (Salih Muslim, 5;152).
'Omar was telling Abdullah Ibn Abbas what he and Ali (AS) thought about Abu Bakr and Omar.

This Hadeeth was narrated also in Musannaf Abdul Razzaq 5;472.

Bukhari has also narrated this Hadeeth from Musannaf Abdul Razzaq but he omitted two words from it.

Imam Ali (AS) was the owner of that ring and he gave it to the poor person. According to a narration from Ammar Al-Sabaati عمار الساباطي from Imam Jafar Al-Sadiq (AS), the ring was in the finger of Miran ibn Tawq who was leader of Kafirs who was killed by Imam Ali (AS) and the ring was taken from his fingered by Imam Ali (AS) and was given to the Prophet Muhammad (SAWA) who gave it back to Imam Ali (AS) as part of his share from the spoils and put it in his own fingered then gave it to the poor person during his Rukoo'.

'Al-Ghazali who is a well known Sunni scholar stated in his book Sirrul Alamein that the ring which Imam Ali (AS) gave  to the poor during Rukoo' was the ring of Sulaiman (AS).

The Prophet Muhammad (SAWA) and the Infallible Imams (AS) used these phrases for Allah (SWT) only. Imam Ali (AS) in the most humble servant of Allah after the Prophet Muhammad (SAWA). We should avoid any act which was never done or instructed or approved by Ahlul Bayt (AS).

The marriage of Imam Ali (AS) with Lady Fatima (AS) was ordained by Allah (SWT) when He ordered the Prophet Muhammad (SAWA): ZAWWIJ ALNOOR MINAL NOOR ( Arrangvthe marriage of the Noor (Ali) with the Noor (Fatima).

This Hadeeth was narrated in many Sunni books like Al-Mustadrak ALAL-Saheehain by Al-Haakim Al-Nisabouri (Volume 3, page 125).

This means that that marriage marriage was by order from Allah (SWT).
