Durable sculptural processes originally used carving (the removal of material) and modelling (the addition of material, as clay), in stone, metal, ceramics, wood and other materials but, since Modernism, there has been an almost complete freedom of materials and process.

We don't have an authentic evidence to suggest that it is forbidden for children to play with such toys.. Nevertheless, it is better to avoid it as precaution.

Is sculpting in a computer software, as part of creating digital 3D art, considered similar to sculpting something in real life, and is it allowed?

Yes it is the same because drawing living being full image is not permissible whether in real life or in digital 3D.

Is it permissible to make any kind of sculpture?

Making a sculpture of a full human being or full animal is not permissible but making a sculpture of a part of the body is permissible.
