We have even in Sunni books that the age of Khadijah (AS) when she got married with the Prophet (SAWA) was 25 years. (AL-BIDAYAH WAL-NIHAYAH by Ibn Katheer , Volume 2, page 295. Al-Bayhaqi (Dala'il Al-NUBOWWAH) 2/ 71).
Other Sunni books narrated that her age was 28 years (Tabaqaat ibn Sa'd 8/ 17 and Al-Mustadrak by Al-Haakim al-Nisabori 3 : 182).
Saying that Bibi Khadijah was a working woman is not misguidance, it is a fact, and it is not misguided to speak a fact about those who were close to the Prophet (S).
However, although Bibi Khadijah was quite empowered, both financially and socially, simply saying this does not compensate for social injustice, including towards women. Rather, it is important to be honest about what goes on in the real world, and if something is not as it should be in society, attention should be called to that so that it can be changed. Of course, one can look to Bibi Khadijah or others as inspirations when doing that, and speak about both.
The claims of our enemies about mistreatment of women in Islam is nothing but a false propaganda. Evidence for the high status and full rights of women in Islam can be easily taken from the life of our great ladies like Lady Khadija (SA) and Lady Fatima (SA) and Lady Zainab (AS).
Different people look at a thing and take different lessons from it.
However, one could glean from their marriage that when two people are sincere, mutually self-sacrificing, pool their wealth and talents, and committed to each other and a higher cause, they can accomplish anything!
I am sure there will be some other insights as well.
