I have heard some people say that duck is makruh to consume, others say that it is halal. What is the correct position and is there a difference of opinion about it among the scholars?

In one of the Qur'anic suras I have read it stated that "Allah hates the aggressor." Is a Muslim a true believer if he or she is the aggressor against his fellow human being whether that person be a Muslim, Jew, Christian, or atheist?

Among the calamities that have befell the Muslim Ummah is that oppressors have usurped positions and taken control of holy places. This dates all the way back to the Umayyad Dynasty.

As you have read, during a certain time in the Abassid era, Ziyarah of Imam Husain (a.s.) was restricted, and if one was to visit  they would have to offer their hand to be cut off. People still went. They sacrificed everything to keep holy places full of the true followers of Islam.

Seeing that you rinsed your mouth, and you spat out the water, that would be sufficient, and your fasting is valid, even though your tastebuds still feel the taste of toothpaste. Of course, this is as long as there is no remaining traces of the toothpaste itself, and you swallow the natural saliva in your mouth.

And Allah knows best.

It is rather the opposite, as we can see that many Sunnis and Shia start the holy month of Ramadhan, and have Eids together on the same day. The issue is that in the Sunni world there is a difference of opinion as to whether the beginning of the lunar month can be pre-announced, or must it be eye-witness.

In Sunni communities there are those who follow Saudi Arabia's announcement, for example, and there are those who follow the local moon-sighting, by the naked eye.

In various libraries around the world that hold valuable Islamic manuscript collections, some writings are attributed to Imam Ali (a.s.).

Although some specialists in paleography and codicology might be sceptic about whether such attributions can be verified, there are strong claims that there are writings that can be traced back to that time. Of course, the challenge still stands, and we can only surmise its attrubution, and not be absolutely certain.

I stole some money and have since repented. I can’t return it as the company I stole from no longer exists. Does previous charity before I repented wipe away that debt?

There is no shar'i problem at all with a Seyid/Seyidah marrying a non-Seyid/non-Seyidah.

Islam encourages married based on the criteria of Din and Akhlaq. Please review Ayatullah al-Udhma Seyid al-Sistani's advice to the youth, where he mentions this as well:
