Dr. Abdulaziz Sachedina has an MA/PhD from the University of Toronto and has BA degrees from Aligarh Muslim University in India and Ferdowsi University of Mashad in Iran. He is currently the Frances Myers Ball (Chair) Professor of Religious Studies at the University of Virginia, and has been teaching for 33 years. Dr. Sachedina teaches courses on Classical Islam, Islam in the Modern Age, Islam, Democracy and Human Rights, Islam Bioethics and Muslim Theology.

Shaykh Dr Murtadha Alidina was born in Zanzibar and he attained his medical degree from the Muhimbili University College of Health Sciences in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania He later went to Iran where he studied Islamic studies for more than 15 years. In July 2009, The International Mustafa University of Qum awarded him with an Honorary Doctorate in recognition of his work in the field of education and tabligh.

Gary Carl (Muhammad) Legenhausen (born 1953, New York City) is an American philosopher who teaches at the Imam Khomeini Education and Research Institute, which is directed by Mohammad Taghi Mesbah Yazdi.
He converted to Islam in 1983. He wrote a book entitled Islam and Religious Pluralism in which he advocates "non-reductive religious pluralism". He has been an advocate of interfaith dialogue, and serves on the advisory board of the Society for Religious Studies in Qom. He holds a Ph.D. in philosophy from Rice University (1983).
