Du'a (Supplication)

In Islam, duʿāʾ (Arabic: دُعَاء‎, plural: ʾadʿiyah أدْعِيَة), literally meaning "invocation", is an act of supplication. The term is derived from an Arabic word meaning to 'call out' or to 'summon', and Muslims regard this as a profound act of worship.

It is not necessary to repeat the Istekhara for not reciting the Du'a before it.

After applying medical instructions from the reliable specialists, you may recite: وإذا مَرِضتْ فَهُوَ يَشفين WA ITHA MARIDHTU FAHOWA YASHFEEN.

Also: YA WALIYYAL 'AAFIYAH NAS'ALOKAL 'AAFIYAH.

It is also very useful to recite Night Prayer (Salat Al-Layl or Namaz e Shab) every night and pray for your need.

Allah (SWT) makes His best servants know whatever He Wants them to know. All Muslims salute the Prophet (SAWA) in every Prayer by saying ASSALAMU Alayka Ayyuha Nabiyyu Warahmatullah Wabarakatuh. Allah makes the Prophet hear and respond to every one of them. Same way, we salute Al-Khidher الخِضر whenever we remember him as it in the Hadeeth which means that Allah Conveys our salutation to him. Ahlul Bayt (AS) are the best servants of Allah after the Prophet Muhammad (SAWA) and Allah Makes them know our Tawassul. Those who believe in the Absolute Ability of Allah according Quranic verses, understand this very easily.

We invoke Ameerul Mo’mineen Ali (AS) because he is the most humble servant of Allah (SWT) after the Prophet Muhammad (SAWA). We believe that his Du’a for us has greater weight in front of Allah (SWT). In Quran, sins of Proohet Ya’qoub (AS) requested the father to seek forgiveness from Allah for them and he accepted their request and promised to pray for their forgiveness (Sura Yousuf , verse 97).

The Du'a of Ameerul Mo;mineen (AS) for us is a great blessing.

Praying in the Masjid and with Jamaa’ah (congregation) has greater reward than praying alone at home. This is in the obligatory Prayers, but performing recommended Prayers at home is much better than in the Masjid. While you perform recommended Prayers at home, you will have full chance to do long Sojood and recite long Du’a. So, kerfirn your obligatory Prayers in the Masjid and your recommended Prayers and supplication and worshipping at your home.

There is no specific period between Tashahhud and Salaam as both should be recited simultaneously. Du'a is always permissible during any part of Salah including Tashahhud and Salaam or between them. We have narrated supplications with Tashahhud. The Du'a can be short or long but it should not take you away from the Salah situation.

It is good etiquette to begin and end a du'a with salawat and inshallah it may assist with your du'a being answered. However, du'as are also answered without salawat (Allah is not miserly!), and you can say your du'a with or without salawat.

It is not permissible to wear or use any stolen cloth in any time and any situation. Wearing stolen cloth is not only a sinful act but also invalidates the Prayer.

First step in tackling Waswas and OCD is to know its origin which is Shaitan who wants to harm us in every way. We need to be aware and very careful against Shaitan and Satanic thiuts. We need to repeat Isteghfaar and Salawaat and La Hawla Wala Qowwata Illa Billah. Repeating Laa Ilaha Illallah is also very useful in tackling Satanic thoughts.
