Mirror

A mirror is an object that reflects an image. Light that bounces off a mirror will show an image of whatever is in front of it, when focused through the lens of the eye or a camera. Mirrors reverse the direction of the image in an equal yet opposite angle from which the light shines upon it.

All Islamic rules of Wajib, Haraam, Mustahab, Makrouh and Jaa'ez are based on our own benefit which is best known by Allah (SWT). We gave no right to argue if we really believe in The Absolute Knowledge, Wisdom and Mercy of Allah.

Praying in front of a mirror is Makriuh. If the mirror is nor in front of us while praying, it will not be Makrouh to pray there. After all, Makrouh is not forbidden but it is always better to avoid it.

Wassalam.

It is Makrouh (disliked) to pray in front of a mirror. The reward I of the prayer will be less but it is not Haraam to do that. Your prayer is valid even with being in front of a mirror. Makrouh is not forbidden.

Wassalam.
