Honour Your Wives
Tradition n. 300
قالَ رَسُولُ الله صلی الله عليه و آله و سلم:
وَيلٌ لإِمرَأةٍ اَغ ضَبَـت زَوجَها وَ طُوبى لإِمـرَأةٍ رَضِـيَ عَنها زَوجُها.
Imam Ridha’ (‘a) narrated from his fathers from Imam Amir al-Mu’minin ‘Ali (‘a) from the Holy Prophet (S) who said: “Woe to the woman who makes her husband angry, and happy is the woman whose husband is pleasantly contented with her.”

قالَ رَسُولُ الله صلی الله عليه و آله و سلم:
مَن كانَت لَهُ اِمرَأَتانِ فَلم يَعدِل بَينَهُما فِي القَس مِ مِن نَفسِهِ وَ مالِه جاءَ يَومَ القِيامَة مَغلُولاً مائِلاً شِقُّهُ حَتّى يَدخُلَ النّارَ.
The Holy Prophet (S) said: “He who has two wives and does not treat justly in dividing his self and his wealth between them, he will be raised on the Resurrection Day while he is chained in punishment and half of his body is not straight until he enters Hell.”

قالَ الإمامُ الباقِرُ عليه السلام :
مَنِ اتَّخَذَ اِمرَأَةً فَليُك رِم ها، فَاِنَّما اِمرَأةُ اَحَدِكُم لُع بَةٌ فَمَنِ اتَّخَذَها فَلا يُضَيِّع ها.
Imam al-Baqir (‘a) said: “He who takes a woman (marries) should certainly respect her, because the wife of anyone of you is a means of your pleasure, so the one who marries a woman should not spoil or disgrace her (by disregarding her respectable rights).”

قالَ الإمامُ أَميرُ المُؤمنينَ عَلِيّ عليه السلام :
فَدارُوهُنَّ عَلى كُلِّ حالٍ وَ اَحسِنُوا لَهُنَّ المَقالَ لَعَلَّهُنَّ يُحسِنَّ الفِعالَ.
Imam Amir al-Mu’minin ‘Ali (‘a) said: “In any condition conciliate the wives, and talk with them warmly and through kind words, thereby, they may change their actions into good ones.”

عَن مُوسَى بنِ جَعفَرٍ، عَن آبائِهِ (ع) قالَ: قالَ رَسُولُ الله صلی الله عليه و آله و سلم:
كُلَّمَا اِزدادَ العَبدُ اِيماناً اِزدادَ حُبًّا لِلنِّساءِ.
Imam Musa Ibn Ja'far (‘a) narrated from his father (‘a) from the Holy Prophet (S) who said: “However much the Faith of a man increases, his regard for women increases.”

قالَ رَسُولُ الله صلی الله عليه و آله و سلم:
حُبِّبَ اِلَيَّ مِنَ الدّنيا ثَلاثٌ: اَلنِّساءُ وَالطِّيبُ، وَ قُرَّةُ عَيني فِي الصَّلاةِ.
The Holy Prophet (S) said: “From the things of the world, I regard women and perfume highly, but prayer is the light of my eyes, (the love and worship of Allah).

Tradition n. 306
قالَ الإمامُ أَميرُ المُؤمنينَ عَلِيّ عليه السلام :
شَرُّ النّاسِ اَلمُضَيِّقُ عَلى اَهلِهِ.
Imam Amir al-Mu’minin ‘Ali (‘a) said: “The worst man is he who restricts his household.”
