Ahmad b. al-Musayyib b. al-Musta'in narrated from Salih b. Abd al-Rahman that he said: I complained to Al-Ridha’, peace be upon him, of my wife's being afflicted with semi-paralysis (al-falij) and facial paralysis (al-laqwa). He said: “What about the medicine of my father?” I asked: “And what is it?” He replied: “The ‘comprehensive medication’. Take one grain of it in marjoram (al-marzanjush) water and make her inhale it. She will be cured, Allah, the Exalted, willing.”
