No unless it is really necessary to save your life or avoid a real danger. It must be avoided as far you can. The permission depends on the degree of the necessity and con not be more. You also should try your best for similar gender medical staff.

As a respiratory therapist in the ICU, I am sometimes required to remove breathing tubes at the request of doctors or non-Muslim family members. Is it permissible for me to proceed with this action if I have no say in the decision-making process?

If you are sure that removing the breathing tubes will definitely lead to death of the patient, then you should not do it even on request or orders of others. Causing death is not allowed at all. Wassalam.

The Islamic rules applies on every medical field. Female doctor is not allowed to touch nor look at the private parts of both male or female except when it is urgent for life saving.

Muslim doctors should treat every human being who needs treatment. Muslims should not take part in changing gender because Allah Created human beings either in male or female (O, mankind, We Created you from male and female) Sura Al-Hujuraat, verse 13.

You should not help killing embryos in Abortion except to save the life of the mother.

You should not help in any medical procedure which helps sinners or encourages sinning.

Can life support be removed if a person is in a persistent vegetative state and in the opinion of the attending physicians has no known hope of regaining awareness and higher mental functions no matter what is done?

We must do everything possible to keep the patient alive. We should not remove life support under any circumstance as it can cause an earlier death.

If a patient can recover from a critical condition through a medical perspective but still has advance directives of DNR (do not resuscitate) or DNI (do not intubate), what role should the healthcare provider play from a Fiqh point of view?

Muslim healthcare provider must save the life of the patient in every possible way even if the patient does not want that help by directing DNR or DNI. Saving the life of the patient does not depend on his will but it is absolutely obligatory in Islam.
