Goodness does not necessarily inheritance but come through consistent good actions. Many prophets had bad children e.g. son of Prophet Noah while many bad persons had good children.

No, they still require a cause or designer (a "programmer", if you will); otherwise, something is still eternally pre-existing for no reason.

We also can't be certain that, if there were a different universe, all of these things would be the same, even if it seems obvious to us here. (Whether or not they would necessarily be the same is, necessarily, speculative.)

However, it is a good question!

In addition to the previous reply, perhaps below might be useful:
Our understanding of concepts such as "life", "death" and "existence" is coloured by our experiences. Our frame of reference is the reality that we inhabit, and it cannot be any other way. Even when we use words such as "nature of God", it is our understanding of the words "nature" and "God".

Therefore, when we talk of God as being "Alive", "Everlasting", and such, our immediate frame of reference is our own lives and existence. When we see that we come from being non-existent into existence, that we live and die, we sometimes might think of God as being alive and existing in the same manner.

Some theologians and philosophers will explain that God, who is the "source" of all that exists, is existence Himself. Whereas our existence is contingent, meaning it's dependent and possible, God's existence (or perhaps God as existence) is necessary.

I hope that the above discussion has shed some light. At the end of the day, all of our ruminations and musings are limited by our own limitations.

Allah is The Everlasting Alive الحيّ ALHAYY and He never dies as He Created the life and death on all His creatures and He is above whatever He Created.

We have no ability to know or even think about Him, but we should think about what He Created. The Hadeeth says: Don't think in Allah's Self but think in Allah's creatures.

What is the nature, essence and consequence of man?

Human beings were created like all creature by The Creator, Allah, The Most Merciful to shower on them His Mercy. The nature of human beings contains body and soul نفس and spirit روح.

Human beings have the gift of intellect which makes them better than most of other creatures. Allah says in Quran: Verily, We Have honoured the children of Adam and carried them on land and sea and provided them with nice things and preferred then on many of our creatures) 17: 70.

The essence of human beings is greater than the understanding of many people who look to outside of man without understanding of the inner of human beings. That is why we find in authentic Hadeeths lot of emphasis on understanding ourselves. Even in Quran we read: O those who believe, focus on yourselves. (Sura 5, verse 7). The Prophetic Hadeeth says: The person who knows himself has known indeed his Lord.

The intellectual abilities of human beings are much greater than what is used by majority of people.

Consequence of man in his future both the short term future in this life and long term future in the hereafter depends on his faith and deeds. Those who believe in the main facts of life e.g. Tawheed, prophet hood, Imamate etc and act upon these facts, will gain continuous happiness and vice versa.

Thank you for your question. According to our understanding of the natural disposition of human beings, humans are intimately connected to reality as they are part of that very reality and not outside of it. So since the human is connected to God, they know Him within themselves and that is why the first step to religion is the recognition of God. The path of Islam is also sometimes described as the path of natural disposition and that is because it is a path that develops that initial flame of connection into a burning fire in the smoothest and most beautiful manner.

It is said that Islam is the religion of nature. Can you give us some evidence and examples regarding this claim?

Islam is the religion which was sent by Allah, The Creator of the universe to guide people to the right way of life and happy everlasting future.

1. The Creator of Nature sent Islam which is in complete harmony with every thing in nature .

2. Allah permitted acts and not permitted acts in Islam are in accordance with the nature e.g. eating, drinking, wearing, relations, etc. Eating pork is forbidden in Islam, and drinking alcohol is forbidden as well. All scientists admit the damaging harms of such things on the human health.

3. Sexual acts are allowed within the frame of marriage or Mut'ah but it is sinful with out such frame. This is the natural need of human beings being organized properly by Islam.

4. Every permitted act in Islam is harmless, while every obligatory (Waajib) act is necessary for life, and every Haraam (forbidden) act is damagingly harmful.

5. Islam guides people to social system based on human dignity for all humans and equality and justice which leads to peaceful social and individual life.

There are thousands of examples which can be found with little thinking.
