Not true at all.

Masjid Al-Aqua existed before the rule of Bani Omayyah and we have in our authentic books authentic Hadeeths from the Prophet Muhammad (SAWA) and Ahlul Bayt (AS) about the great reward of praying in Msdjid Al-Aqsa. ( Kitab al-Mahaasin by Al-Burqi, Kitab al-Faqeeh by Al-Sadouq, Thawab al-A;mahal by Al-Sadouq, al-Orwatul Wothqa by Sayyed Kadhim Al-Yazdi , Kitab Al-Mabsoot by Al-Shaikh Al-Tusi, Kitab Al-Nawaadir by Al-Rawandi, Minhaj Al-Saliheen by Ayatullah Sistani, Tahrir al-Qaseelah by Ayatullah Khomeini and many other books.

Bani Omayyah tried to divert Muslims from Makkah to Masjid Al-Aqsa during their conflict with Abdullah ibn Al-Zubair who was the ruler of Makkah for nine years.  Praying in Masjis Al-Aqsa is highly recommended but we should never do any act which can be taken by people as a support for the occupiers of Masjid Al-Aqsa.

The ascension to the heaven ( Mi'raj) was not just a spiritual experience but was a real physical journey as it is clear in Quran ( Glorious is He, Who took His servant in night journey from the Masjud Al-Haraam to al-Masjid Al-Aqsa) (Sura al-Isra', verse 1). It never says that Allah Has taken the spirit of His servant, but Taken His servant which means the full physical journey and never by is spirit only.

Quds is the place where Baitul Maqdis Masjid is, and Baitul Maqdis is the first Qibla for Muslims.

In the narrations from the Ahlul Bayt (AS) we have a narration from Imam Mohammad al Baqir (AS) telling Abu Hamza al Thimali that the great Masjids are four: al Masjid al Haraam in Makkah, the Masjid of the Holy Prophet (SAWA) in Madinah, Masjid Baitul Maqdis in Quds and Masjid al Kufa. The Imam (AS) said : O Aba Hamza, performing obligatory Salaah in any of these Masjids equals performing full Hajj and performing recommended Salaah in any of these Masjids equals performing Umrah. This Hadith is narrated in the book of Man La Yahdharuhu Al Faqih by Al Sadooq , volume 1 page 163.

Also we have narrations mentioned in the same book of Al Faqih by Sheikh Al Sadooq  from Ameerul Mo"meneen Ali (AS) that Salaah in Bait Al Maqdis equal one thousand Salaah. Volume 1, page 167 .

A narration also from Ameerul Mo"meneen Ali (AS) that when Imam Al Mahdi (ATFS) comes back to the public life he will go to Bait Al Maqdis. This narration is in Mo"jam Ahaadith Al Imam Al Mahdi (ATFS) volume 4 page 175.
