Pain

Pain is a distressing feeling often caused by intense or damaging stimuli. The International Association for the Study of Pain's widely used definition defines pain as "an unpleasant sensory and emotional experience associated with actual or potential tissue damage, or described in terms of such damage". In medical diagnosis, pain is regarded as a symptom of an underlying condition.

This is a big question - many people have challenges in their personalities or temperaments that are long-term projects to work on. However, here is something that you could consider and see if it has any helpful advice ("Imam Ali and Islamic Anger Management by Shaykh Mohamed Ali Ismail")

(I recall he did a workshop some years ago at an Islamic event on practical tips for anger management but I don't know if it is available online; you could try to find it)

Also if you haven't already, you could look through books such as this: https://www.al-islam.org/jami-al-saadat-collector-felicities-muhammad-mahdi-naraqi

No it is not allowed. Even if it is considered in some countries as
legal, that does not make any difference because it is an intoxicant
and every intoxicant is Haraam (forbidden) in Islam and the change of the laws will not change our religion. Many countries consider alcohol as allowed
although Islam has forbidden it. We abide by the rules of Islam
wherever we live. ‘There is no cure in any intoxicant’ as the Hadith
from Imam Ja’far As Sadiq (AS) states.

Any act which causes pain to any one else ( except the enemies of Allah) is forbidden and Haraam.

Being good to your spouse is one of most important duties in Islam.

If any recommended act cause pain to your wife, you should not do it, because avoiding Haraam is before doing a recommended act.
