We, Shia Muslims believe that Muslims are Taahir (Ritually pure). Muslim corpse is Taahir depute the fact the Ghusl of Mayyit is obligatory on every Muslim dead body. Touching human corpse (before Ghusl of Mayyit) makes it obligatory on the person touched it directly with out gloves to perform Ghusl of touching the corpse.

Is it possible for the deceased to maintain a connection with their grieving family after death? Can they see or hear their circumstances or witness their family's daily lives? Please share references from the Quran and sayings of the Imams.

According to narrations, deceased soul can come to his house and family once a year, or once a month or weekly, depending on his degree. If he sees his family doing good deeds, he will be happy and if he sees them in bad situation, he will be sad. (Biharul Anwar V.6, page 257).

As Shia Muslims, how can we respond if someone accuses us of worshipping Imams or the dead? Are there any authentic hadiths or Quranic verses we can present to counter this claim?

False allegations ere always put on the prophets and their followers by the enemies of the truth, but it did not harm but the liars. We are facing similar false allegations from our enemies. We never worship any one but Allah and our respecting the Proohers and the Infallible Imams can never mean worshiping them as we believe that all the proohers and the Infallible Imams are the best servants and worshipers of Allah.

Respecting and obeying the Prophet (SAWA) is obligatory on every Muslim as Allah Says in Quran (Tell them : If you really love Allah, then follow me) (Sura 3, Verse 31)

Qyran is teaching us to go to the Prophet to seek forgiveness (Sura Annisam verse 64).

How should Ghusl Mayyit be performed if a person dies with sunscreen or creams on their face? Is there a specific step to ensure all body parts are properly cleansed before performing the Ghusl?

Creams and all other materials must be washed away before starting Ghusl on the dead body.

if you touch the unwashed dead body with the wet hand then your hand becomes Najis so if you touch another thing with that hand while it is wet that thing will become najis too.
But touching the dead body with dry hand doesn't make your hand najis and the only duty is to perform Mayyit touching Ghusl.

The narrations speak of the grave as a garden of paradise for the believers and that it is extended and expanded for them. It is the same material grave in which we bury the dead body?

It is the same grave which the dead believer buried in. He feels and enjoys the paradise bounties even if his physical body turns to soil but he remains in his soul and spirit feels the happiness.

Is the Talqeen recited for the deceased's soul or their physical body? Upon death, does our soul return to inhabit our material body and answer questions?

Talqeen is reminding the Muslim deceased about the faith fundamental matters. Talqeen is addressing both the soul and body.

'Upon death, human beings remain able to hear and think. The Prophet Muhammad (SAWA) addressed after Badr battle, the dead bodies of the non believers and said when he was asked that they are more able to hear than you.

'After death, we will be able to respond to the questions of the angles.

No, you do not need to perform ghusl mass al-mayyit in this aforementioned scenario. It is only when it is skin on body.

Do our dead relatives know when we visit their graves and can they hear us?

Yes. They know when we visit their graves and feel happy because of our visiting their graves and reciting Quran and praying for them. They hear us when we talk to them. The Hadeeth says: Talk to the dead people in their graves and raise your voice talking to them and tell them: You went before us and we are following you soon. يا أهل الديار من المؤمنين والمسلمين، أنتم لنا فَرَطٌ وإنّا بِكُم إن شاء الله وشيكاً لاحِقون

It is highly recommended to say when you visit the graves of the Muslims: Peace upon you, O people of Laa Ilaaha Illallah السلام عليكم يا أهل لا إله إلا الله.

As a medical student and doctor, one has to touch cadavers and dead bodies and after touching a cold dead body Ghusl is obligatory. How are we supposed to offer prayers in case we cannot perform Ghusl in medical college or hospital?

When you touch a cold dead body directly with out gloves, Ghusl of that touching becomes obligatory on you. If you can not perform Ghusl, then Tayammum becomes obligatory on you.

Our Sunni brothers have a ritual of pressing the stomach of the Mayyit to remove waste. Do we have any such act within our Fiqh? If not, would it be forbidden to do so?

It is Mustahab (recommended) to wipe on the tummy of the dead body twice, one with first Ghusl with Sidr and second with the second Ghusl with Kafour except the dead woman if she was pregnant then it becomes Makrouh (disliked) to wipe on her tummy during Ghusl.

If one is not sure whether the dead body they have touched has been given the Ghusl Mayyit or not, what should they do?

If they are not sure that the dead body was given Ghusl of Mayyit, they should preform Ghusl of touching the dead body (Ghusl of Mass-e- Mayyit) which is like any other Ghusl.
