Do you know any Hadith mentioning a disease that causes hair loss, such as alopecia universalis, an autoimmune condition where hair on the body falls out?

What grows and improves hair in the narrations of the Ahlul Bayt (AS):

1- Figs. On the authority of Abu al-Hasan al-Rida (he said: “Figs eliminate bad breath, strengthen the mouth and bones, grow hair, and eliminate illness, and do not require medication.”

2- Henna. It was narrated on the authority of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) that he said: “Dye your hair with henna, for it clears the vision, grows hair, makes the smell pleasant, and calms the wife.”
3- Ivory comb. On the authority of Abu al-Hasan al-Askari (he said: “Combing with an ivory comb makes hair grow on the head.”

4- Siwak, it was narrated: “The Siwak clears the vision, grows hair, and eliminates tears.”

5- Kohl,(Sorma) it was narrated: “Kohl makes hair grow, sharpens the vision, and helps in prostrating for a long time.” Some narrations specified it with kohl, as it was narrated on the authority of Abu Abdullah (he said: “Ithmid clears the vision, stops tears, and grows hair.

” 6- Washing the head with marshmallow On the authority of Abu al-Hasan (peace be upon him): Washing the head with marshmallow every Friday of the year brings sustenance, removes poverty, improves hair and skin, and protects against headaches.

Can Shia women trim their own hair and the hair of their daughters without seeking help from others after completing Saee during Umrah?

She can trim her own hair after completing Sa’ee between Safa and Marwa. She can not trim the hair of her daughter or any one else before trimming her own hair. After trimming her own hair, she will be then allowed to trim the hair of others.

My family keeps telling me to shave my beard to help it grow. I am not convinced as I know that only trimming is allowed. According to Syed Al-Sistani is there an issue with shaving the beard as long as there remains a little hair?

As long as you are not "clean shaven", that's fine. That is the minimum requirement from a shar'i perspective. According to A.U Seyid Sistani, according to ihtiyat, it is haram.

It is good to trim your beard, and make it look presentable, but you should not shave it. Although shaving could help it grow, but in cases, you become too hairy, and you don't want that as well.

Just try to fix up your facial hairs, so your family might leave you alone and not persist on this.

What is regarded as Mustahab is to remove that hair with whatever means is possible. So as soon as they start growing it, it can be recommended to them.
Just one thing to mention is that some people might think that if it grows long the prayers will be nullified, which is NOT a correct understanding.
Also it is NOT allowed to show one's private parts to those who remove the hair and unfortunately these days it's getting more and more.

There are plenty of authentic Hadeeths from the Prophet Muhammad (SAWA) and Ahlul Bayt (AS) stating that Muslim woman must cover her entire hair as part and parcel of the obligatory Hijab. You can refer to all our Hadeeth and jurisprudence books to read these Hadeeths. The Hadeeth of Mi'raaj is an authentic very well known Hadeeth, in which the Prophet (SAWA) told Lady Fatima (AS) that he was been shown the punishment of types of sinners including a woman hanged in the hellfire because she was not covering her hair in front of outsider men.Biharul Anwar, V. 8, P.309. Is it allowed to undergo laser hair removal on private parts due to having medical conditions like ingrown hair infections or acne?

If you do that yourself with out any one else seeing or touching your private parts if you are a male, or your body if you are a female then it is allowed, but if the laser removal or any procedure involves any one except your spouse to see or touch your private parts,bit will be then not allowed at all.

Yes, it is permissible to remove body hair, and it is makruh to keep hair on certain parts of body, like underarm, etc.
