May cultural practices are not accepted by Shariah yet done by some people out of carelessness or other un Islamic reasons.

If a Muslim Syed daughter living abroad engages in activities like drinking alcohol, having a boyfriend, and wearing inappropriate clothing, are parents in Pakistan obligated to financially support her living and accommodation?

Parents are responsible to do every thing possible to protect their children from evil deeds and harmful company. If they are sure that their financial support will be used in sinful acts, they should refrain from supporting the wrong. They should everything possible to save their daughter from wrong.

Is it permissible to greet each other, as we often do in Pakistan and India, by saying "Ya Ali Madad" and also uttering it in times of distress, illness, or in a sporting context?

It is always good to say "Ya Ali Madad" but it does not replace our greeting which is mentioned in Quran and used by our Infallible Imams (As) and taught to us by Ahlul Bayt (AS) which is Salam or Salamun Alaykum. Sura 7, Verse 54 and Sura Younis, verse 10, and Sura Al-Agzab;44 and Sura Taseen;58.
