God's Help Can Come At Any Time - 3/29 - 30 Verses For 30 Days 2022

'A'udhu bi’l-Lahi, min ash-Shaytan, ar-rajim. “Qad kana lakum ayatun fi fi’atayn iltaqata, fiʾatun tuqatilu fi sabili Allahi wa ukhra kafiratun yarawnahum mithlayhim raʾya al-ʿayn, wa Allahu yuʾayyidu bi-nasrihi man yashaʾ” (3:13).

Verse 13 from Surah Aal-Imran speaks about an incident in which the Muslimin went to battle with the Kuffar. And we know that, in a number of battles that the early Muslims took part in, their numbers, of course, were lower. So what Allah Subhana wa Ta'ala has told us that He has done in multiple verses of the Quran is that He would make the numbers of the Muslims, before the battle, look like they were less. Hence, the Kuffar and Mushrikin (polytheists) would not take the battle so seriously. But when the battle would start, then Allah Subhana wa Ta'ala would add to the strength of the Muslims and would add to their numbers such that they would appear twice in size during the battle to the eyes of the Kuffar and the Mushrikin.

And that verse ends almost at the very end with “wa Allahu yuʾayyidu bi-nasrihi man yashaʾ” (3:13). Allah Subhana wa Ta'ala helps and aids with His assistance whoever He wishes. This is a sign for us to really learn from, because we may not be in a situation where we're dealing with a battle and so on and so forth. We might have struggles in our personal life. We might have issues that we're dealing with in our personal lives, on a societal level, whatever the case might be. What the verse of the Quran is telling us is that, as long as you are on the right path, and as long as you're doing things the right way, and as long as you are patient and you are showing perseverance in this path that you are moving towards, then the help and the assistance of Allah Subhana wa Ta'ala can come from any which way. You don't know where it's gonna come from.

And the interesting thing about this verse, is that, when these numbers are multiplying in the eyes of the Kuffar and Mushrikin, the Muslims who are being helped, in reality, in those moments, they may not even know that this is happening. So Allah Subhana wa Ta'ala is sending His help without the Muslim even knowing why. This battle that they thought might be difficult for them to win, now they are victorious in it.

Similarly, you and I might be going through difficulties in life, challenging situations. You never know; maybe right in that moment where you feel alone and you feel desperate, Allah Subhana wa Ta'ala might be doing His own work. He might be sprinkling His own Nusrah, His own help and aid and assistance, in such a way that you may not even be able to see it with your own eyes, but maybe others will be able to see it with their eyes.

So this is a sign to always persevere in the right path and hope for the help and assistance of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala.
