Assalamu aleykum,

Assalamu aleykum,

I cannot reply on the fact of this situation being a sin or not, but I would like you to ponder on several elements.

- Marriage is a very important part of one’s life, it affects your future and your spouse’s,

- intercourse is a basic need of every human being, of both men and women, so being in such a situation where no martial relation with the spouse is not advisable and also detrimental for both parts,

Assalamu aleykum,

Assalamu aleykum,

Assalamu aleykum,

First of all, I commend you for being willing to follow the traditions and Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (S) and the Ahlul Bayt (as) in regards to marriage.

In many narrations it is reported that marriage is half of religion, and it is also recommended to marry at young age.

Assalamu aleykum,

Assalamu aleykum,

Looking at people of opposite gender is not a problem per se, although it should be avoided because it can cause lust thoughts, as you have described and experienced.

God commands the believing men and women to lower from their gazes in the Qur’an:

“Say to the believing men to lower their gazes and guard their chastity…”(An-Nur, 24: 30)

“And tell the believing women to lower their eyes, and guard their modesty, ….”(An-Nur, 24: 31)

ssalamu aleykum,

ssalamu aleykum,

Contraception is never a sin in Islam. If you feel that you don’t want to have children, it is your right to prevent pregnancy.

Please refer to the book Marriage and Morals in Islam:

According to the Shi 'ah fiqh, family planning as a private measure to space or regulate the family size for health or economic reasons is permissible. Neither is there any Qur'anic verse or hadith against birth control, nor is it wajib to have children in marriage. So basically, birth control would come under the category of ja'iz, lawful acts.

<p>Assalamu aleykum,

Assalamu aleykum,
