According to Ayatollah Syed Mohsin al-Hakim Tabatabai, when you doubt as to whether you have completed three or four raka'at, complete the salah assuming that you have completed four raka'at. Then do salat al-ihtiyat, consisting of one raka'a standing, or two raka'at sitting.
Nafs in the Quran is translated with terms like “yourself” and “soul”.
“And do thou (O reader!) Bring thy Lord to remembrance in thy (very) soul” in another translation “And remember your Lord within yourself” (7:205)
“And fear a Day when no soul will suffice for another soul at all” (2:48)
“There is no soul but has a protector over it” (86:4)
Salaam. I cannot get married because I was gruesomely injured on my privates (11 years ago), and I'm deformed down there. This happened because of a bad circumcision. I'm always stressed and thinking suicide, I have hope in Allah a lot and that keeps me alive. This is why I have these suicidal thoughts. No doctor has ever helped me, but Allah gives me clues that I should be patient, like revealing some videos of miracles that happen in the tombs of the Imams(as). I wish I could go vist, but my poverty is very high, and I'm so far away from Iraq or Iran (I'm South African). What to do?
Both Sunni and Shi'a muslims are the ahl al-qibla and belong to the ummah of Prophet Muhammad (s). Their main difference is considered to be in the matter of succession to the Prophet (s) where the Shi'a believe that Imam 'Ali b. Abi Talib was appointed by the Prophet (s) to be his successor, whereas the Sunni's believe the matter was not determined by him (s) and the caliphate of Abu Bakr was legitimate.
Both groups refer to the same Qur'an as their primary source of Divine instruction and guidance.
