Assalaamu alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh
If we want to be realistic we need to know that "love" brings "obedience".
No doubt that you and all our Sunni brethren love Ahlul Bait (a.s) and you all really get sad when hearing the calamities and oppressions that went to them.
Insha Allah this love will make you read more about the realities of the history.
Just as a clue I want you to have a research about:
1.The Verse of Wilayah i.e. 5:55 :
إِنَّمَا وَلِيُّكُمُ اللَّـهُ وَرَسُولُهُ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا الَّذِينَ يُقِيمُونَ الصَّلَاةَ وَيُؤْتُونَ الزَّكَاةَ وَهُمْ رَاكِعُونَ
Your guardian is only Allah, His Apostle, and the faithful who maintain the prayer and give the zakat while bowing down.
Who gave zakat while boing down?
2. The verse of Ikmal i.e. 5:67 :
يَا أَيُّهَا الرَّسُولُ بَلِّغْ مَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ ۖ وَإِن لَّمْ تَفْعَلْ فَمَا بَلَّغْتَ رِسَالَتَهُ ۚ وَاللَّـهُ يَعْصِمُكَ مِنَ النَّاسِ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّـهَ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الْكَافِرِينَ
O Apostle! Communicate that which has been sent down to you from your Lord, and if you do not, you will not have communicated His message, and Allah shall protect you from the people. Indeed Allah does not guide the faithless lot.
3. The verse of Iblagh i.e. 5:3 :
الْيَوْمَ يَئِسَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِن دِينِكُمْ فَلَا تَخْشَوْهُمْ وَاخْشَوْنِ ۚ الْيَوْمَ أَكْمَلْتُ لَكُمْ دِينَكُمْ وَأَتْمَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعْمَتِي وَرَضِيتُ لَكُمُ الْإِسْلَامَ دِينًا
Today the faithless have despaired of your religion. So do not fear them, but fear Me. Today I have perfected your religion for you, and I have completed My blessing upon you, and I have approved Islam as your religion.
See the interpretations and see the context for revelation of this verse+ have a search about Ghadir Event and what our beloved Prophet s.a.w.a did on that event.
4.See verse of Mubahala i.e. 3:61 :
Should anyone argue with you concerning him, after the knowledge that has come to you, say, ‘Come! Let us call our sons and your sons, our women and your women, our souls and your souls, then let us pray earnestly, and call down Allah’s curse upon the liars.’
What was the importance of this incident?

Insha Allah Ta'ala you will find meany new things

SHAFAQNA – Imam Sajjad (AS) had severe stomach ache in Karbala to an extent that he could not carry weapons or fight [1,2,3]. The illness started in Karbala and not from the time Imam Hussain (AS) started his journey towards Iraq. Of course his illness was a divine plan so that one child would remain from Imam Hussain (AS) to undertake the Imamate and the leadership of Muslims.

There are some Ahkaam in religion that have no justification except "obedience" and this matter is among them.
If one is obedient to God, he/she should say ok my Lord.
Some have tried to raise some justifications that I think none of them are true and we can't accept them as a reason behind this legislation.

The oil prevents water from reaching the hair or the skin
So one should make sure that the water comes into direct contact with their hair or skin.
You can leave a little area of the head without oil in order to do a correct wudhu.

Simply reply by Alaikum Assalaam wa Rahmatullaahi wa Barakaatuh
in fact this is a dua
you are saying "May God's peace and blessings be upon you" in Arabic
So if this friend of yours is acting that much friendly and wants to greet you with your Islamic culture do treat him/her in the same way and DO translate it for him/her.

Assalamu Alaikum
Allah (swt) states in the Holy Quran that He will forgive all the sins:
Surah Zumar(39) verse (59)
Say [that Allah declares,] ‘O My servants who have committed excesses against their own souls, do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed Allah will forgive all sins. Indeed, He is the All-forgiving, the All-merciful.

But we have to bear in mind that repentance has some conditions:

Tawbah is not accepted from one who merely declares, “I repent.” There are a number of conditions that must be fulfilled before the acceptance of Tawbah. These are mentioned below in the following hadith:

• It is narrated that someone said: Astaghfirullah (I seek God's forgiveness) before Imam ‘Ali (a). He said to him. "May your mother mourn for you! Do you know what istighfar is? Verily istighfar is a degree of the 'illiyyun (people of high station) and it is a word that means six things. First is remorse over the past. Second, the resolution not to return to it ever. Third, to return to creatures their (formerly usurped) rights so that you meet God Almighty in a state of purity in which no one has any claim against you. Fourth, that you fulfil every duty that you neglected in order to satisfy your obligation in respect to it. Fifth, that you attend to the flesh of your body that has grown on unlawful nourishment so that it melts away as a result of grief and mourning and your skin adheres to your bones, after which new flesh grows in its place. Sixth, that you make your body taste the pain of obedience in the same way as it earlier tasted the pleasure of sins. When you have done these things then say Astaghfirullah! [Nahj al‑Balagha, saying # 417]

This noble tradition mentions two prerequisites for Tawbah (remorse and resolution), two important conditions for its acceptance (returning the rights of creatures and of the Creator), and finally two points for the perfection of repentance.

Bismillah

According to:

Sayyed Sistani: According to obligatory precaution one must refrain from these transactions (i.e. you can refer to the second most knowledgeable jurist and follow his opinion).

Sayyed Khamenei: No response (i.e. you can refer to the second most knowledgeable jurist and follow his opinion).
It should be noted that in his opinion, it is necessary to observe the official laws of the country in this regard.

Sayyed Shobeiri Zanjani: If the use of such currencies is usually corrupt or illegal from an economical point of view, there is a problem with buying and selling them. (meaning according to obligatory precaution one must refrain from these transactions i.e. you can refer to the second most knowledgeable jurist and follow his opinion)

Sheikh Makarem Shirazi: Due to the many ambiguities that Bitcoin has, it is problematic (meaning according to obligatory precaution one must refrain from these transactions i.e. you can refer to the second most knowledgeable jurist and follow his opinion.)

Sheikh Vahid Khorasani: Buying and selling it is void.

Sheikh Saffi Golpayegani: It's forbidden and it's a type of eating up wrongfully. Allah is the All-Knowing

Sheikh Noori Hamedani: Engaging in these transactions is problematic (i.e. you can refer to the second most knowledgeable jurist and follow his opinion.)

Sheikh Hadavi Tehrani: Buying and selling Bitcoin is Haraam and as for other cryptocurrencies which do not have the problems of Bitcoin, it is permissible. (So his Fatwa about other cryptocurrencies is conditional to not having the problems of Bitcoin)
