Anytime you are going through difficult, dark times, know that God already has a plan to bring you through to victory; when you call on His name, when you surrender your circumstances to Him; that is when His light will come forth through the darkness, as God says,

“The truth has come and falsehood has perished. Falsehood is always bound to perish”. (Qur’an; 17:81)1

Notice, it is not going to trickle in, it is not going to just barely get there. No, like a flood, like the breaking forth of waters, it is going to come bursting in. know that “the morning is near”. (Qur’an; 11:81)2 I believe, it means that suddenly, you are going to get well. Suddenly, you will meet the right person. Suddenly, you are able to pay your house off. Our attitude should be, “My child may be off course, making poor decisions, but I am expecting a flood of God’s mercy to bring him back.” Or, “My house has been on the market for a year and still has not sold, but I am expecting a flood of favor to cause it to stand out and sell.”

In the midst of that difficulty, do not get discouraged. Do not be like those who the Qur’an says about them,

“As for man, whenever his Lord tests him and grants him honor and blesses him, he says, “My Lord has honored me”. But when He tests him and tightens for him his provision, he says, “My Lord has humiliated me”.” (Qur’an; 89: 15-16)3

Be surrender to the Lord. Lift your heart to His trusting. You are in a prime position to see a flood of God’s goodness. Keep praising Him. Keep thanking Him and stay in faith because His light will break through the darkness.

  فَأَمَّا الْانسَانُ إِذَا مَا ابْتَلَئهُ رَبُّهُ فَأَكْرَمَهُ وَ نَعَّمَهُ فَيَقُولُ رَبىّ‏ِ أَكْرَمَنِ. وَ أَمَّا إِذَا مَا ابْتَلَئهُ فَقَدَرَ عَلَيْهِ رِزْقَهُ فَيَقُولُ رَبىّ‏ِ أَهَانَن‏ ‏ .
