Tradition n. 130

قالَ الإمامُ الباقِرُ عليه السلام :

يَجِبُ لِل مُؤمِنِ عَلَى ال مُؤمِنِ أَن يَستُرَ عليه سَبعينَ كَبيرَةً.

Imam al-Baqir (‘a) said: “It is compulsory for every Muslim to conceal even seventy great faults of his fellow Muslims (in order to save his prestige).” (His faults should be dealt with personally but not be spread among the members of society).

قالَ الإمامُ أَميرُ المُؤمنينَ عَلِيّ عليه السلام :

اِقبَل عُذرَ اَخيكَ وَ اِن لَم يَكُن لَهُ عُذرٌ فَالتَمِس لَهُ عُذراً.

Imam Amir al-Mu’minin ‘Ali (‘a) said: “Accept the apology of your Muslim brother and if he has not any, invent one for him yourself.”

قالَ الإمامُ أَميرُ المُؤمنينَ عَلِيّ عليه السلام :

اَقبَحُ الغَد رِ إذاعَة السِّرِّ .

Imam Amir al-Mu’minin (‘a) said: “The worst form of betrayal is the disclosure of confidential information.”

Tradition n. 133

قالَ الإمامُ أَميرُ المُؤمنينَ عَلِيّ عليه السلام :

نُصحُكَ بَينَ ال مَلَأِ تَق ريـعٌ.

Imam Amir al-Mu’minin ‘Ali (‘a) said: “Your admonition (to the wrong-doer) in the presence of people is to humiliate him.” (You must talk to him in private).

قالَ الإمامُ الصّادِقُ عليه السلام :

مِن اَحَـبِّ الأعمـالِ إِلى الله عَزَّوَجَلَّ اِدخالُ السُّرُورِ عَلَـى المُؤمِنِ: اِشبَاعُ جُوعَتِهِ اَو تَنفيسُ كَربَتِهِ اَو قَضاءُ دَينِهِ.

Imam as-Sadiq (‘a) said: “From the most beloved deeds with Allah, Almighty and Glorious, is bringing happiness to a Muslim believer such as: satiating his hunger, removing his grief, or paying his debt.”
