It is good to be cautious about psychoactive mushrooms. I am not saying that in every case they would be absolutely and wholly haraam, but, in general, consuming things that have hallucinogenic properties for no good reason (such as for entertainment or on a regular basis) is against the ethos of the Qur'an.

Mushrooms which are not harmful for health is allowed to eat.

Some people say that there are poisonous types of mushroom, and if this is authentic, then such poisonous mushrooms must be avoided.
