If there will be physical contact, without gloves, and you do have an option of seeing a specialist of the same gender, then it would be haram to go otherwise. Unless of course, the specialist of the opposite gender is the only highest qualified dr and your case is serious, needing that level of qualification, then you can, but try to request gloves be worn.
