You need to be sure that you are not involved in any sinful act or acts and you need to repeat Isteghfaar (ASTAGHFIRULLAH) or (ASHTAGHFIRULLAH RABBI WA ATIUBU ELAYH. It is also very useful to repeat (LA HAWLA WALA QOWWATA ILLA BILLAH) as many times as you can.
