Yes in fact when we die we remain able to hear that’s why Talqeen is recited with loud voice to make the dead person listen and when we are in our grave the angels will come and question us about our faith. The grave of the pious believer will be a garden from the paradise while the grave of the non believer or a sinner will be a dig from hell fire.
