Is it permissible in Islam to leave my daughter with her father and his new wife while I move away with my new husband?

I married an abusive man, and we have a 10-year-old daughter. Six years of shared custody reveal his control tactics, often using our child. I've made personal changes, including converting to Islam, which I keep private due to his xenophobia. I want to raise my daughter with self-confidence and values, but her father undermines me, ridiculing her choices and punishing her for wanting modesty. I'm seeking counseling for her and myself. I’ve since married a Muslim man and plan to relocate with him. It’s crucial to distance from her father for recovery. I wonder if leaving my daughter with him and his wife is wrong Islamically.
