What precautions should a solo female traveler consider if she feels uncomfortable praying discreetly in non-Muslim countries and non-Shia mosques? Can she postpone midday prayers until just before sunset to avoid negative experiences?

I travel solo a lot and I plan my itineraries around my prayer times as best as I can. For midday prayers, I am often outdoors, so even when praying somewhere discreet, I do drawer attention (even inside mosques - unpleasant encounters). I've started to pray my midday prayers just before sunset so that I am atleast back in the hotel, but as this is an intentional delay (not qadha though), is this permissable? Are there any other considerations under jurisprudence one can take?

That's very good that you plan your itinerary around your prayer time. This will definitely bring barakah to you in this life and the hereafter.

Such scenarios do not exempt you from not praying, and that is a major sin. If it is a matter of delaying from the recommended time, but still in the shar'i time, that's fine.

Just base things on individual scenarios that you encounter, and make correct judgments accordingly.
