Tamim is a well known tribe in Arabia and those who belong to this tribe are called Tamimi. Tamim is not from Bani Hashim which is the family of the Prophet Muhammad ( SAWA) . All Ahlul Bayt belong to Bani Hashim. Tamim is a respected tribe but different tribe.
