Kava

Kava or kava kava (Piper methysticum: Latin 'pepper' and Latinized Greek 'intoxicating') is a crop of the Pacific Islands. The name kava(-kava) is from Tongan and Marquesan, meaning 'bitter'; other names for kava include ʻawa (Hawaiʻi), ʻava (Samoa), yaqona (Fiji), sakau (Pohnpei), seka (Kosrae), and malok or malogu (parts of Vanuatu). Kava is consumed for its sedating effects throughout the Pacific Ocean cultures of Polynesia, including Hawaii, Vanuatu, Melanesia, and some parts of Micronesia.

1. There are many serious concerns about dangerous effects of Kava including serious health conditions and deaths. 
2. Kava is used by many people as a drug which affects the brain. This means that it is a type of intoxicants.

3. According to the above, Kava is a damagingly harmful material and hence its using or marketing is not permissible .
