I have a proposal from a Catholic man who wants to convert to Islam and has family support. Are there any restrictions regarding his family, him, me, or our future children in this situation?

He has 2 little sisters and a little brother. They are all Catholics, they also have a dog.

He and his family would of-course always celebrate Christmas with others. Would he be allowed to go to his family while they are celebrating Christmas?

I also have heard that we cannot eat from Catholic people. Is this true, and is it also applicable in this scenario?
