Regard For Kinship
Tradition n. 223
قالَ رَسُولُ الله صلی الله عليه و آله و سلم:
مَن سَرَّهُ أَن يُبسَطَ لَهُ فِي رِزقِهِ وَ يُنسَأَ لَهُ في أَجَلِهِ فَل يَصِل رَحِمَهُ.
The Holy Prophet (S) said: “He who wishes that his sustenance be increased for him and his death day be delayed, then he should pay attention to his kinsfolk.”

Tradition n. 224
قالَ الإمامُ عَلِيّ بنُ مُوسَى الرِّضا عليه السلام :
لا يَجتَمِـعُ المالُ إلاّ بِخِصالٍ خَمسٍ: بِبُخلٍ شَدِيدٍ وَ اَمَلٍ طَوِيلٍ وَ حِرصٍ غالِبٍ وَ قَطِيعَة الرَّحِمِ وَ اِيثارِالدّنيا عَلَى الآخِرَة.
Imam ‘Ali Ibn Musa al-Ridha’ (‘a) said: “Wealth does not (excessively) accumulate but by having five traits: extreme miserliness, high expectations, overwhelming greed, breaking off ties with one's kindred, and preferring this world to the next.”

Tradition n. 225
قالَ اَبُو جَعفَرٍ البَاقِرُ عليه السلام :
صِلَة الأرحامِ تُزَكِّي الأعمالَ وَ تُنمِي الأموالَ وَ تَدفَعُ البَلوى وَ تُيَسِّرُ الحِسابَ وَ تُنسِئُ فِي الأجَلِ.
Imam Muhammad Baqir (‘a) said: regard for kinship causes (five advantages):
-
The purification (and acceptance) of deeds.
-
Increase in wealth.
-
Repelling misfortunes.
-
Easiness in Reckoning, (in the Hereafter).
-
Prolonging life.

Tradition n. 226
قالَ رَسُولُ الله صلی الله عليه و آله و سلم:
ثَلاثَة لا يَدخُلُونَ الجَنَّة: مُدمِـنُ خَمرٍ وَ مُدمِـنُ سِحـرٍ وَ قاطِـعُ رَحِمٍ.
The Holy Prophet (S) said: “There are three groups who will not (be allowed to) enter Heaven: drinkers of wine, witches, and renouncers of one's kindred.”
