If all who are entitled in the inheritance agree to leave their shares in the house and keep the house for the common use of the family, then it is for them to do that. If any one from them objects in that, others must give him his share from the house.

You should politely remind your father. You can also inform family members who are concerned and make them aware of the reality of your share in the property. You need to be careful not to cause any insult or harm to the feelings of your father, even if you leave your share for him.

Sometimes mothers find it hard to accept that their children are adults. If the child is now a man, then he needs to be respected as a man, and not emasculated and controlled by a woman, even if that woman is his mother. If the child is a woman, the mother needs to understand that by attempting to micromanage her daughter's life she is actually crippling her emotionally, and this will cause problems either with finding a husband for her daughter, or with her daughter's already existing marriage. According to the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt (as), the respect due to parents is conditional upon how they treat their children. It is well known that according to ahadith, it is recommended that after the age of fourteen, the child should be treated as a 'friend', not as a seven-year-old. There is a non confrontational method of establishing boundaries called "grey rock", which you can find out more about on YouTube. You may also want to research "narcissistic" or "controlling" mothers, and something else called "emotional enmeshment". I will update this answer further with references inshaAllah.

You must tolerate and keep on tolerating no matter how much and how long your mother interferes or controls. Never show any reaction against her and avoid any word or less which can hurt your mother's feelings and dignity as your mother.

Can children join a musical club during lunchtime in their primary school?

It would depend upon what music is being played; what lyrics there are. Rulings on music among scholars are diverse. Ayatollah Sistani says that it is not permissible to listen to music that is used for frivolous entertainment or sexual provocation, meaning that music that is NOT used for frivolous entertainment or sexual provocation may be listened to; for example, music that is composed to praise God. Interestingly, even the same ruling exists in Buddhism. You should have a discussion with the teacher to ask what kind of music they intend to teach, as unfortunately nowadays children are exposed to many indecent and adult-level sounds and images, even at school.

What is the punishment for children who raise their hands upon any of their parents and hitting them? What should parents do with such a child?

Mistreating any of the parents is very dangerous and it is a major sin which leads the sinner to hellfire beside causing misery in his life in this world. Parents need to study the reasons of this misbehaviour and try their best to make their children understand what is right and what is wrong. One of the possible reasons can be bad friends or watching bad films etc.

It is really a big challenge for the parents and they need to take advice from specialists beside seeking help from Allah (SWT).

There is no Kaffara on non Baligh child, but if his parents wish to pay a Kaffara, they can do so but it is not obligatory neither on them nor on the child.

It is a sinful act to deliberately miss any obligatory Prayer. If it happens for any reason, we need to sincerely seek forgiveness after deciding not to do the sin again, then begging to Allah, The Most Merciful, to forgive us. Allah (SWT) like those who repent and sincerely seek purification. (2:222).

Regardless of whether it is permissible or not, supposing one of them was caught? What reputation would that give to the Shi'a living in that country? Why do they want the benefits of living in that country while at the same time not respecting it?

Discipline . Husband . Children . Sin

I discipline my kids strictly to avoid Haram things but my husband agrees to their demands ignoring that we both will be sinful for this permission. What should I do?

You should always fulfill your responsibility to protect your kids from harmful things, and nothing more harmful and damaging than sinful acts. If your husband allows your kids sinful acts, that does mean that you have no responsibility to protect them. You must talk to him in a suitable way to prove to him that both of you are responsible to protect your kids. You also need to explain to your kids the as much they can understand the concept of good and bad. Your husband will not permit your kids to eat a sweet which contaminated with microbes because it is harmful for their health, so, how can he permit sinful acts which are more harmful?

Do whatever you can (with wisdom) to protect yourself and your family from Hellfire, as Allah said: O you who believe! Ward off yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is men and stones. Sura 66, Verse 6.

Why were women and children taken along to Karbala when Imam Hussain (as) knew what would happen there and how the women would be imprisoned?

Imam Hussain (AS) wanted sincere eye witnesses to tell people after his martyrdom what really happened in Karbala keeping in mind the falsehood which Yazeed and his gang were intending to spread among Muslims against Imam Hussain (AS). Mo'awiyah, father of Yazeed, spread rumors among people in Syria that Ali does not pray Namaz, that is why when the news reached Shaam that Imam Ali (AS) was martyred inside the Masjid of Kufa, people of Shaam started asking: What Ali was doing in the Masjid when he does not pray Namaz?

Yazeed and his gang wanted to fabricate stories against Imam Hussain (AS) to mislead people away from Ahlul Bayt (AS). Imam Hussain (AS) took his family members with him knowing what will happen to him and them, to make them witness and convey the message to all Muslims after him.

The great rule of Lady Zainab and Lady Um Kolthoum after Karbala shows how it was necessary to have eye witnesses to inform Muslim generations and refute the false propaganda of Yazeed.

The sufferings of the family of Imam Hussain (AS) was mentioned by him as narrated when he replied those who asked him why to take his family members: Allah has ordained to see me martyred and see my family members captured شاء الله أن يراني قتيلا ويراهنّ سبايا
