The ta'wiz, tawiz (Urdu: تعویز, Hindi: तावीज़), muska (Turkish) or taʿwīdh (Arabic: تعويذ) is an amulet or locket worn for protection common in South Asia.Tawiz is sometimes worn by certain Muslims with the belief of getting protection or blessings by virtue of what is in it.
It is intended to be an amulet. The word ta'wiz is used to refer to other types of amulets.

There are examples of protective taweez in Twelver Shi'i hadith literature (for instance, Tibb al-A'immah (A)). However, how effective an individual piece is depends on how it is made.

Is it permissible to seek treatment for black magic from individuals who use traditional methods such as Taweez and blessed water?

Black magic is a major sin and no permission in Islam for any act connected with black magic.

Persons who claim ability to treat black magic can be right if they recite Quranic verses or authentic narrated supplications from the Proohet (SAWA) and Ahlul Bayt (AS), but some of them are after money or use things away from Ahlul Bayt (AS). You need to be careful before dealing with them.
