Unfortunately, this is among the very negative practices we have in our societies, and it definitely is dhulm to some women. We must strengthen our marriages, especially the culture of correct spouse selection, but also increasing our level of tolerance, to avoid divorce.

We must also try to educate people that there is nothing wrong with marrying a divorcee. They might have gone through a bad experience, or made wrong choices, or matured from their previous relationship.

In all, a lot needs to be done to improve our state, to adopt Islamic teachings in its best form.

And Allah knows best

Non Muslims don't believe in Quran as The word of Allah, that is why they think away from the facts mentioned in Quran. Allah has clearly stated in Quran the reason of the marriage between the Prophet Muhammad (SAWA) and Zainab Bint Jahsh (And when Zaid has dissolved his marriage with her, We Made her a wife for you, so that the believers should find difficulty in marrying the ex wives of their adopted sons) Sura Al-Ahzaab, verse 37.

'Ahlul Bayt (AS) did mention this marriage being an order from Allah (SWT) to break a wrong common practice against divorcees of the adopted sons.

'It is worth mentioning that this objection on this marriage is not new but it was raised by the enemies of Islam from the Jewish and Nazareth and hypocrites during the life of the Prophet himself (SAWA) and was refuted by Quran, the Prophet and Ahlul Bayt (AS).

It is not strange from the enemies to accuse the Prophet and put false allegations against him.

Wassalam.

All the acts of the Prophet Muhammad  (SAWA) and all the prophets are according to the will of Allah (SWT), still we find some wives of the prophets disobeyed Allah and been mentioned in Quran as examples for the nonbelievers like wife of Nuh and wife of Hud.(Sura 66, Verse 10).( Allah set forth an example of those who disbelieve, wife of Nuh and wife of Hud, both were under two of our pious servants, but they betrayed them......).

The marriage of Zaynab Bint Jahsh is mentioned in Quran very clearly being ordered by Allah ( ZAWWAJNAKAHA) ( We made her your wife)( Sura 33, Verse 37).

Not all the wives of the Prophet are on the same degree of Imaan , as we have in the history that Qateelah Bint Al-Ash’ath was one of the wives of the Prophet Muhammad (SAWA) but she left Islam after the demise of the Prophet and got married to ’Ikrimah Bin Abi Jahl.

Many marriages of the Prophet were for securing and protecting Islam from harm like his marriage with Um Habeebah, who was a daughter of Abu Sufyan, the head of Disvelievers of Makkah, and sister of Mu’awiyah.

Marriage with A’isha was suggested by Abu Bakr, her father, to the Prophet and was accepted by the Prophet ( SAWA) to avoid Islam any harm, and also to provide the Ummah  a test which distinguishes right from wrong after the Prophet.
