Marriage

Marriage, also called matrimony or wedlock, is a culturally and often legally recognised union between people called spouses. It establishes rights and obligations between them, as well as between them and their children (if any), and between them and their in-laws. It is nearly a cultural universal, but the definition of marriage varies between cultures and religions, and over time.

If Talaq with all Islamic conditions was not done, the first Nikah remains valid. If proper Talaq has been done, then second Nikah will be must. No need for Iddah after the Talaq if Nikah is with the same person.

As Muslims, we do not believe in caste, and we rather condemn such an attitude. Our criterion for evaluating someone is piety, as the Quran says. It is unfortunate that some parents still carry such a mentality, and hopefully one day we will all be able to implement our religion in the best way possible.

That being said, you must take into consideration compatibility and overall mindset of who it is you are marrying. There must be a good level of compatibility for you and your future spouse to have a successful marriage. It would be best for an elder or a local scholar to somehow discuss this topic with your parents, if you see this suitor to be appropriate for you to marry.

Do not allow this to escalate, or turn into major problems, and try to deal with it in a calm and wise way.

As for "love marriage", this is an unfamiliar term in Islam. For us, it is either marriage, or not. Love is one thing, and legitimacy of a relationship between two non-mahram people is another.

With prayers for your success.

If she asks you, you must tell the truth and never lie. If she did not ask you, you are not obliged to inform her about your personal life. She is also not obliged to inform you about her personal life.

Main point here is the honesty and truthfulness in our life as Muslims.

Because it is a temporary mut'ah contract, you or her have no obligations towards each other, so, from a shar'i perspective you do not need to inform her about your personal life.

Should this evolve into something serious, you must always try to be honest and straightforward with your circumstances and not conceal important information that would affect a relationship.

With prayers for your success.

There is no evidence what so ever that the Prophet himself allowed such marriage. Both of the ladies were divorcees of two sons of Abu Lahab, the enemy-uncle of the Prophet (SAWA). After their divorce, they were free to marry whom so ever they wanted from Muslims. In fact, the real daughter of the Prophet Muhammad (SAWA) was Fatima (AS) and he marriage was by order of Allah (SWT). It is mentioned in Sunni books that when Ruqayyah passed away, the Prophet (SAWA) did not allow Othman to attend her funeral.

I am sorry to hear about this situation. This is certainly despicable behavior from him and a breach of trust.

It is difficult to have a marriage without trust. However, it is your decision whether or not you wish to stay in the marriage.

None of us here can give you good advice on whether or not to stay in the marriage without knowing your situation (both personally and also in terms of practical matters). It is best if you can discuss this with people who you know in person whom you trust, such as family or people whose advice you respect.

Wishing you the best either way, and sorry you have to go through this.

Aisha was a mature woman and not a child as some people claim when she got married with Prophet (SAWA). What is famous among our Sunni brothers according to some of their books, that she was seven or nine years old girl. This is among many famous things which have no authentic evidence as it said in Arabic رُبَّ مشهور لا أصلَ له

They wanted to create a virtue for Aisha by claiming that she was very young when she got married to the Prophet (SAWA). This claim of her very young age contradicts with facts mentioned in their own Sunni books which mentioned the age of her sister Asmaa' Bint Abi Bakr who was ten years older than her.

First fact: Asmaa' Bint Abi Bakr was born 27 years before the Bi'thah of the Prophet (The start of Islam). This fact has been mentioned in many prominent Sunni books like:

Mo'jam Al-Zawaa'id , v.9, p.260.

Omdatol Qaari, 2:93.

al-Mo'jam Al-Kabeer by al-Tabaraani , 24:77.

Tareekh Dimishq by Ibn Asaakir 69:9.

Tahtheeb Al-Asmaa',2:593

Osd Al-Ghaabah, 5:392.

al-Isaabah , 8:14.

Second fact: Aisha was ten years younger than her sister Asmaa'. This fact has been mentioned in many Sunni books like :

al-Estee'aab 2:616

al-Sunan Al-Khubra by Al-Bayhaqi 6:204

Siyar A'laam Al-Nubalaa' 2:295

Tahtheeb Al-Tahtheeb 2:398

Tareekh Al-Islam by al-Thahabi 5:354

al-Bidayah wal Nihayah 8:381
Osd Al-Ghaabah 5:392

These two facts lead to the fact of the age of Aisha. She was born seventeen years before the Bi'thah. The Prophet remained in Makkah for 13 years the migrated to Madinah. This means that Aisha was thirty years old when the prophet migrated to Madina. The marriage took place two years after migration which means that Aisha was thirty two years old when the marriage was consummated.

Many Sunni scholars have rejected the narrations in their own books about the small age of Aisha despite being narrated in Bukhari book.
Many enemies of Islam have attacked the Prophet because of the claimed very young age of Aisha which is claimed by some Muslims.

'We have authentic evidence as you can read above that Aisha was never a child, but was over thirty years.

Wassalam.

There are supplication which are mentioned in our books, but many of our Ulama mentioned that reciting these Sura and Quranic supplication help a lot in marriage; RABBI LAA TATHARNI FARDAN WA ANTARCTIC KHAIRUL WARITHEEN رب لا تذرني فردا وأنت خير الوارثين

Also: INNAHAATHA LARIZQUNA MAA LAHU MIN NAFAAD إن هذا لرزقنا ٬ ما له من نفاد

Performing Night Prayer also is very helpful in getting your wishes.

A temporary marriage contract cannot be "converted" to a permanent marriage. What would need to be done is the man says to the woman he is in a mutah contract with that he frees her for the remaining period of their contract, and they can then do a permanent marriage contract.

Of course, they would need to agree on a mahr as well, and there is no 'iddah period, because he will be marrying the same person he was with. This means that once he frees her of the remaining mutah period, they can straight away do the permanent marriage.

And Allah knows best.

You need to be sure about your future and never take risk on your faith.

If he claims to be a Shia, why does he pray on the way of others? How can you trust him claiming being a Shia when he is not practicing Shia Islam in the most important worship which is the daily prayers?

You should not hurry in accepting his proposal until you have enough evidence that his claim of being a Shia Muslim is authentic.
Marriage between Muslims is allowed provided that there is no risk on your religious practice in the future.

Irrespective of what maddhab he may be, it is extremely important to recognise and affirm good qualities for your potential spouse, especially in being honest and truthful.

It is permissible for a Shi'i to marry a Sunni, as long as he/she is able to preserve their Shi'i identity and practice their Shi'i ways without pressure or backlash.

If he is interested in the Shi'i madhhab, then that will be his choice, but he needs to make it clear to you as to why he is saying he is Shi'i, but, might be doing certain things the Sunni way.

Is it because he is in fear of his life, and therefore he needs to do taqiyah? Is it due to lack of understanding, and what slight differences there are between the Shi'i method of praying and the 4 Sunni methods?

Or, is it him trying to please you and make your hear what you wish to hear only, which means he is not be honest to you?

This is a conversation that needs to happen.

With prayers for your success.

1. There is no evidence that your marriage was blocked by black magic and you should never surrender to this claim. Those who think that they are under the effect if black magic, get harmed even if there is nothing done against them, but they themselves harm themselves by thinking that they been under back magic.Even if there is any possibility of bad thing done against you, you can easily remove it away just by reciting Ayatul Kursi, Sura Falaq and Sura Naas after Prayers.

2. Reply on Allah's Mercy and trust that He will never let you alone. Seek His help always and supplicate and seek His support.

3. Recite this verse as many times as you can especially after every Prayer: إنَّ هذا لَرِقُنا ما لَهُ مِن نَفاد INNA HAATHA LARIZQUNA MAALAHO MIN NAFAAD (Sura 38, verse 54). This verse has great benefits in many matters including marriage.

4. Recite this Quranic Du'a : ربِّ لا تَذَرني فَرداً وَأنتَ خَيرُ الوارثين RABBI LA THATHARNI FARDAN  WA ANTA KHAIRUL WARITHEEN. (Sura al-Anbiyaa', verse 89).

5. Repeat Salawaat (ALLAHUMMA SALLI'ALA MUHAMMAD WA AALI MUHAMMAD) and Istighfaar (ASTAGHFIRULLAH RABBI WA ATOOBU ELAYH) and (La Hawla wala Qowwata illa Billah).
