Tradition 1: Imam Hadi ('a) said: Recite the following in Baghdad:

السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَلِيَّ اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا حُجَّةَ اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا نُورَ اللَّهِ فِي ظُلُمَاتِ الْأَرْضِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ بَدَا لِلَّهِ فِي شَأْنِهِ أَتَيْتُكَ عَارِفاً بِحَقِّكَ مُعَادِياً لِأَعْدَائِكَ فَاشْفَعْ لِي عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ يَا مَوْلَايَ

Translation: Peace be on you, O Wali of Allah. Peace be on you, O Allah's Proof. Peace be on you, O Allah's light in the darkness of the earth. Peace be on you, O one about whom Allah modified His Will.

I have come to you while I believe in your rights and I am the enemy of your enemies. So, intercede for me with your lord, O my master.

Then supplicate to Allah and ask for your needs. Then recite the same Salutation in the Ziyarah of Imam Jawad ('a).

Tradition 2: Imam Hadi ('a) said: When you intend to perform the Ziyarah of Imam Al-Kadhim ('a) and Imam Jawad ('a), cleanse yourself, perform Ghusl, wear your purified clothes and then go to their graves. When you arrive at the grave of Imam Musa Kazim ('a), recite:

السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَلِيَّ اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا حُجَّةَ اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا نُورَ اللَّهِ فِي ظُلُمَاتِ الْأَرْضِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ بَدَا لِلَّهِ فِي شَأْنِهِ أَتَيْتُكَ زَائِراً عَارِفاً بِحَقِّكَ مُعَادِياً لِأَعْدَائِكَ مُوَالِياً لِأَوْلِيَائِكَ- فَاشْفَعْ لِي عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ يَا مَوْلَايَ

Translation: Peace be on you, O Wali of Allah. Peace be on you, O Allah's Proof. Peace be on you, O One about whom Allah modified His Will.

I have come to you to perform your Ziyarah while I believe in your rights. I am the enemy of your enemies and I befriend your friends. So, intercede for me with your lord, O my Master.

Then ask for your needs.

Salute Imam Jawad ('a), ensuring that Ghusl has been performed, by saying:

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْإِمَامِ الْبَرِّ التَّقِيِّ النَّقِيِّ الرَّضِيِّ الْمَرْضِيِّ وَ حُجَّتِكَ عَلَى مَنْ فَوْقَ الْأَرَضِينَ وَ مَنْ تَحْتَ الثَّرَى صَلَاةً كَثِيرَةً تَامَّةً [نَامِيَةً] زَاكِيَةً مُبَارَكَةً مُتَوَاصِلَةً مُتَوَاتِرَةً مُتَرَادِفَةً كَأَفْضَلِ مَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى أَحَدٍ مِنْ أَوْلِيَائِكَ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَلِيَّ اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا نُورَ اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا حُجَّةَ اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا إِمَامَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ [يَا إِمَامَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَ وَارِثَ النَّبِيِّينَ‌] السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا خَلِيفَةَ النَّبِيِّينَ وَ سُلَالَةَ الْوَصِيِّينَ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا نُورَ اللَّهِ فِي ظُلُمَاتِ الْأَرْضِ- أَتَيْتُكَ زَائِراً عَارِفاً بِحَقِّكَ مُعَادِياً لِأَعْدَائِكَ مُوَالِياً لِأَوْلِيَائِكَ- فَاشْفَعْ لِي عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ يَا مَوْلَايَ

Translation: O Allah! Bless Muhammad Ibn Ali, the righteous, the pious, the pure Imam, who is blessed with you and with whom You are pleased and your Proof on those who are on the earths and those under the dust.

O Allah! Send an increasing, complete, purified, beautified, continuous and a frequent blessing on him that is consecutive and greater than any of the blessings You have sent on any of your friends.

Peace be on you, O Wali of Allah. Peace be on you, O light of Allah. Peace be on you, O Allah's Proof. Peace be on you, O Imam of the believers and heir of the prophets. Peace be on you, O Caliph of the prophets and O progeny of the successors. Peace be on you, O Allah's light in the darkness of the earth.

I have come to you to perform your Ziyarah while I believe in your rights, I am the enemy of your enemies and I befriend your friends. So, intercede for me with your lord, O my master.

Then ask for your needs, for indeed, if Allah wills, they will be fulfilled.

Tradition 3: Recite the following at the grave of Imam Al-Kadhim ('a) in Baghdad - and you can recite the same at all holy sites of the Infallibles:

السَّلَامُ عَلَى أَوْلِيَاءِ اللَّهِ وَ أَصْفِيَائِهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَى أُمَنَاءِ اللَّهِ وَ أَحِبَّائِهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَى أَنْصَارِ اللَّهِ وَ خُلَفَائِهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَى مَحَالِّ مَعْرِفَةِ اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَى مَسَاكِنِ ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَى مَظَاهِرٍ أَمْرِ اللَّهِ وَ نَهْيِهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَى الدُّعَاةِ إِلَى اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَى الْمُسْتَقِرِّينَ فِي مَرَضَاتِ اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَى الْمُخْلِصِينَ فِي طَاعَةِ اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَى الْأَدِلَّاءِ عَلَى اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَى الَّذِينَ مَنْ وَالاهُمْ فَقَدْ وَالَى اللَّهَ وَ مَنْ عَادَاهُمْ فَقَدْ عَادَى اللَّهَ وَ مَنْ عَرَفَهُمْ فَقَدْ عَرَفَ اللَّهَ وَ مَنْ جَهِلَهُمْ فَقَدْ جَهِلَ اللَّهَ وَ مَنِ اعْتَصَمَ بِهِمْ فَقَدِ اعْتَصَمَ بِاللَّهِ وَ مَنْ تَخَلَّى مِنْهُمْ فَقَدْ تَخَلَّى مِنَ اللَّهِ أُشْهِدُ اللَّهَ أَنِّي مُسَلِّمٌ لَكُمْ سِلْمٌ لِمَنْ سَالَمَكُمْ وَ حَرْبٌ لِمَنْ حَارَبَكُمْ مُؤْمِنٌ بِسِرِّكُمْ وَ عَلَانِيَتِكُمْ مُفَوِّضٌ فِي ذَلِكَ كُلِّهِ إِلَيْكُمْ لَعَنَ اللَّهُ عَدُوَّ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ مِنَ الْجِنِّ وَ الْإِنْسِ وَ أَبْرَأُ إِلَى اللَّهِ مِنْهُمْ وَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ -

Translation: Peace be on Allah's Divine Authorities and His Chosen Ones. Peace be on Allah's loved Ones and His trustees. Peace be on Allah's Supporters and His Caliphs.

Peace be on the places in which Allah can be known. Peace be on the houses in which Allah is extolled. Peace be on those who manifest Allah's orders and His prohibitions.

Peace be on the Ones who call people to Allah. Peace be on the Ones who are settled firmly in that which pleases Allah. Peace be on the Ones who are loyal in obeying Allah. Peace be on the guides to Allah.

Peace be on the Ones whom those who follow them have followed Allah, those who antagonize them have antagonized Allah, those who know them have known Allah, those who ignore them have ignored Allah, those who seek refuge with them have sought refuge with Allah and those who abandon them have abandoned Allah.

I take Allah as witness that I submitted to you, I make peace with those who make peace with you, I antagonize those who antagonize you, I believe in that which is secret about you and that which is apparent about you and I rely on you in all of this.

May Allah's curse be upon the enemies of the family of Muhammad from among the jinn and mankind and I seek Allah's nearness by dissociating myself from them.

And may Allah's blessing be upon Muhammad and his family.

Imam ('a) added: This Ziyarah will suffice in all holy sites. And after that invoke blessings on Muhammad and Aali Muhammad ('a) much and name them one after other and dissociate from their enemies.

Then choose some supplications and pray for yourself and the believing men and women.
