Tradition 1: Imam As-Sadiq (‘a) said: When you intend to bid farewell to Abbas ('a), go to his grave and recite the following:

أَسْتَوْدِعُكَ اللَّهَ وَ أَسْتَرْعِيكَ وَ أَقْرَأُ عَلَيْكَ السَّلَامَ آمَنَّا بِاللَّهِ وَ بِرَسُولِهِ وَ بِكِتَابِهِ وَ بِمَا جَاءَ بِهِ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ اللَّهُمَّ اكْتُبْنَا مَعَ الشَّاهِدِينَ اللَّهُمَّ لَا تَجْعَلْهُ آخِرَ الْعَهْدِ مِنْ زِيَارَةِ قَبْرِ ابْنِ أَخِي نَبِيِّكَ وَ ارْزُقْنِي زِيَارَتَهُ أَبَداً مَا أَبْقَيْتَنِي وَ احْشُرْنِي مَعَهُ وَ مَعَ آبَائِهِ فِي الْجِنَانِ اللَّهُمَّ وَ عَرِّفْ بَيْنِي وَ بَيْنَهُ وَ بَيْنَ رَسُولِكَ وَ أَوْلِيَائِكَ اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ تَوَفَّنِي عَلَى الْإِيمَانِ بِكَ وَ التَّصْدِيقِ بِرَسُولِكَ وَ الْوَلَايَةِ لِعَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ وَ الْأَئِمَّةِ مِنْ وُلْدِهِ وَ الْبَرَاءَةِ مِنْ عَدُوِّهِمْ- فَإِنِّي قَدْ رَضِيتُ بِذَلِكَ يَا رَبِّ

Translation: I bid farewell to you, leave you in the care of Allah and convey my salutation to you. We believe in Allah, His Messenger, His Book and in that which His Messenger brought forth from Allah. O Allah! Record us among those who bear witness.

O Allah! Do not make this ·the last time I come to the Ziyarah of the grave of the son of Your Prophet's brother. Permit me to do his Ziyarah for as long as You keep me alive. Resurrect me with him and with his ancestors in the Heavens. O Allah! Acquaint me with him, with Your messenger and with Your Friends.

O Allah! Bless Muhammad and Aali Muhammad and make me die while believing in you, believing in Your messenger, believing in the Wilayat of Ali Ibn Abi Talib and the Imams from his sons ('a) and while dissociating from their enemies. Indeed, I am pleased with this, O Lord.

Then pray for yourself, your parents, the believers and the Muslims and choose some supplications to recite.
