Tradition 1: Imam Ar-Ridha’ ('a) was asked, “In which month should we perform the Ziyarah of Imam Al-Husayn ('a)?” Imam ('a) replied, “On fifteenth Rajab and fifteenth Shaban.”

Tradition 2: Imam 'As-Sadiq (‘a) said: Allah will record the reward of a thousand Hajj, a thousand Umrahs and fighting a thousand Jihads with a divine messenger for one who performs the Ziyarah of Imam Husayn ('a) on Arafah Day with recognition of his rights. And Allah forgives one who goes to his Ziyarah on first Rajab.
