Tradition 1: Imam As-Sadiq (‘a) was asked, “ls Ghusl obligatory before the Ziyarah of Imam Al-Husayn ('a)?”

Imam ('a) replied, “No.”

Tradition 2 & 3: Same as no. 1.

Tradition 4: Imam As-Sadiq (‘a) said: If you are near him and it is possible to do ghusl, do so; otherwise perform wudhu and then do his Ziyarah.

Tradition 5: Same as no. 1.

Tradition 6: I (the narrator) said to Imam As-Sadiq (‘a), “Sometimes when we perform the Ziyarah of Imam Al-Husayn ('a) it is difficult to make ghusl, because of cold or for some other reason.”

Imam ('a) replied, “So many merits will be recorded for one who goes to Euphrates and performs ghusl before Ziyarah of Imam Al-Husayn ('a), that they cannot be counted. And if he returns anytime (in future) to the place where he performed ghusl and instead performs wudhu before the Ziyarah of Imam Al-Husayn ('a), the same reward will be recorded for him.”
