Can We Prostrate To The Grave Of Imam Husayn (A)?
Assalamu alaykum, wa Rahmatu Allah. Can we do Sujud to the grave of Imam al-Husayn, alayhi as-salam? Without a doubt, one of the greatest honours we have in our lives is to be able to perform the Ziyarah of Imam al-Husayn, alayhi as-salam, and upon, performing that Ziyarah, you will find that certain people prostrate towards the grave of Imam al-Husayn, alayhi as-salam. Now some people may look at that and say: well, this is shirk, this is polytheism. How dare you prostrate to the grave of a human being?
When we look at the words of our scholars, we find the answer is very clear. If one is prostrating, thanking Allah, Subhana wa Ta'ala, for giving them the honour of Ziyarat al-Husayn, of visiting the grave and the shrine of Imam al-Husayn, alayhi as-salam, then there is no problem here. However, if one is prostrating with the intention that I'm doing Sujud to the grave of Imam al-Husayn, alayhi as-salam, towards Imam al-Husayn, alayhi as-salam, then this is something which is not allowed.
Therefore, when you do see someone at Karbala', and they are doing Sujud towards the grave of Imam al-Husayn, alayhi as-salam, do not look at their intentions in a negative way. They may be thanking Allah, Subhana wa Ta'ala, that: Thank you, O Lord, for blessing me to be able to come to Karbala', and perform the visitation of the grandson of the Holy Prophet, peace be upon him and his family.

Zweifelsohne ist es eine der größten Ehren, die wir in unserem Leben haben, die Ziyarah von Imam al-Husayn, alayhi as-salam, verrichten zu können, und bei der Verrichtung dieser Ziyarah werden Sie feststellen, dass einige Leute sich vor dem Grab von Imam al-Husayn, alayhi as-salam, niederwerfen. Nun mögen einige Leute das sehen und sagen: Nun, das ist Schirk, das ist Polytheismus. Wie könnt ihr es wagen, euch vor dem Grab eines menschlichen Wesens niederzuwerfen?
Wenn wir uns die Worte unserer Gelehrten ansehen, ist die Antwort sehr klar. Wenn man sich niederwirft, um Allah, Subhana wa Ta'ala, dafür zu danken, dass er einem die Ehre des Ziyarat al-Husayn, des Besuchs des Grabes und des Schreins von Imam al-Husayn, alayhi as-salam, gegeben hat, dann gibt es hier kein Problem. Wenn man sich jedoch mit der Absicht niederwirft, dass man Sujud am Grab von Imam al-Husayn, alayhi as-salam, gegenüber Imam al-Husayn, alayhi as-salam, verrichtet, dann ist dies etwas, das nicht erlaubt ist.
Wenn du also jemanden in Karbala' siehst, der Sujud am Grab von Imam al-Husayn, alayhi as-salam, verrichtet, dann betrachte ihre Absichten nicht negativ. Sie mögen Allah, Subhana wa Ta'ala, dafür danken: Ich danke dir, o Herr, dass du mich gesegnet hast, nach Karbala' zu kommen und den Enkel des Heiligen Propheten, Friede sei mit ihm und seiner Familie, besuchen zu können.
