Where Is The Head Of Imam Husayn (A) Buried?
Assalamu alaykum, wa Rahmatu Allah. A very good question: where is the head of Imam al-Husayn, alayhi as-salam? And I've heard many theories concerning the head of Imam al-Husayn, alayhi as-salam. Theories which take the head to Palestine, others who took the head to Egypt, others who say that it's in Sham [Syria], others who went to Medina, others talked about Kufa. In other words, you see many different theories.
In my personal opinion, I believe that the head of Imam al-Husayn, alayhi as-salam, was brought back to his body on the plains of Karbala, buried back with his body by Imam 'Ali Zayn al-'Abidin, alayhi as-salam. There's no doubt that the head did go to Kufa for a certain period. And there's no doubt that the head was with the other heads in Sham as well.
Because after Karbala, Imam al-Husayn's family and companions who remained alive were able to go to, or were taken to Karbala, Kufa, Sham, and then back to Karbala before they came back to Medina. And therefore, when they left Sham, I'm of the belief that the heads were with them.
They returned back to Karbala, and then Imam 'Ali Zayn al-'Abidin, alayhi as-salam, was able to place the head of Imam al-Husayn, alayhi as-salam back with the body.

Theorien, die den Kopf nach Palästina bringen, andere, die den Kopf nach Ägypten bringen, andere, die sagen, dass er in Sham [Syrien] ist, andere, die nach Medina gingen, andere sprachen über Kufa. Mit anderen Worten, es gibt viele verschiedene Theorien.
Meiner persönlichen Meinung nach glaube ich, dass der Kopf von Imam al-Husayn, Friede sei mit ihm, auf der Ebene von Kerbala zu seinem Körper zurückgebracht und von Imam 'Ali Zayn al-'Abidin, Friede sei mit ihm, zusammen mit seinem Körper begraben wurde. Es besteht kein Zweifel, dass der Kopf für eine gewisse Zeit nach Kufa ging. Und es besteht kein Zweifel, dass der Kopf auch bei den anderen Köpfen in Scham war.
Denn nach Karbala konnten die Familie und die Gefährten von Imam al-Husayn, die noch am Leben waren, nach Karbala, Kufa, Scham und dann zurück nach Karbala gehen oder wurden dorthin gebracht, bevor sie nach Medina zurückkehrten. Deshalb glaube ich, dass die Köpfe bei ihnen waren, als sie Scham verließen.
Sie kehrten nach Karbala zurück, und Imam 'Ali Zayn al-'Abidin, alayhi as-salam, konnte den Kopf von Imam al-Husayn, alayhi as-salam, zurück zum Körper legen.
